Sunnyvale Swim Complex

 

The Sunnyvale Swim Complex at Fremont

High School is a joint use facility between the

City of Sunnyvale & Fremont High School District.

Our site features an Olympic size pool (50 meters by 25 yards) and includes a pool house w/ locker rooms, a training room for community classes, shaded viewing area, and numerous other amenities.

 

Registration: Call us. There is NO online registration for swim lessons. Please contact us at 408.732.2257 or swiminfo@calsportscenter.com to reserve your spot.

 

Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, & Safety Training courses are now open for registration.

Our excellent progression system allows swimmers to learn basic skills in a fun, nurturing environment and at a comfortable pace. Swim lessons are 30 minutes long and run in 2 week sessions (4 weeks for Saturday only lessons). Beginning levels are taught at a semi-private 3:1 student to instructor ratio; intermediate and advanced levels (and springboard diving) are held at a group ratio of 6:1.

Sea Anemone (Parent-Tot) 10:1
Ages 3 months to 3 years ONLY. Children will work on becoming comfortable in the water. Parent participation in the water is required.

Clownfish 3:1
Ages 3-4 ONLY. Designed for absolute beginners with no water experience.

Sea Turtle 3:1
Ages 3-4 ONLY. Designed for students with water experience but who are not yet able to float unassisted. Students must be able to put their face in water, blow bubbles, and float on their front and back with assistance.

Sea Star 1 (Level 1) 3:1
Ages 5+ ONLY. Designed for complete beginners who are not yet able to put their face in water, blow bubbles, or float.

Sea Star 2 (Level 2) 3:1
Ages 5+ ONLY. Students must be able to float on their back and front unassisted, put their face in the water, blow bubbles, submerge head 3 times, and glide from the wall to the instructor with face in the water.

Sea Horse 1 (Level 3) 3:1
Ages 5+ ONLY. Students must be able to swim 7 yards of freestyle with correct side breathing, and 7 yards of backstroke.

Sea Horse 2 (Level 4) 6:1
Ages 5+ ONLY. Students must be able to swim 12-15 yards of freestyle with correct side breathing, 12-15 yards of backstroke, and 10-15 yards of breaststroke kick.

Sting Ray (Level 5) 6:1
Ages 5+ ONLY. Students must be able to swim 25 yards of correct freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke. They also need to be able to butterfly (dolphin kick) at least 5-7 yards.

Shark (Level 6) 6:1
Ages 5+ ONLY. Students must be able to swim all 4 strokes - 75 yards of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke, and at least 25 yards of butterfly. Also a general knowledge of flip turns.


Adult Beginner 3:1
Ages 16+ ONLY. This class is designed for teens and adults who want to learn to swim and be independent in the water.
