Our progression system allows swimmers to learn skills at a fun and comfortable pace.

Lessons are available on a year round basis from California Sports Center.

Basic Skill Prerequisites:

• Sea Anemone (Parent-Tot)
  This class is designed to ease toddlers (ages 3 and under) into the water environment and prepare them for future independent swimming lessons. Parents are required to be in the water.
• Sea Star I
  MUST BE THREE (3) YEARS OF AGE.
  (May be turning three within a month of the first day of class.)
• Sea Star II
  Swimmers must be able to swim freestyle 5 yards with correct side breathing, and backstroke 5 yards unassisted.
• Sea Horse I
  Swimmers must be able to swim 15 yards of freestyle with correct side breathing, and 15 yards of backstroke. They must know elementary backstroke and breaststroke kicks.
• Sea Horse II
  Swimmers must be able to swim the freestyle, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, and dolphin kick strokes for 25 yards (the width of the pool) with correct form.
• Sting Ray
  Swimmers must be able to swim the freestyle, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, and dolphin kick strokes for 25 yards (the width of the pool) with correct form.
• Shark
  Swimmers must be able to swim the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and elementary backstroke for 50 yards each with correct form: They must also be able to swim 10 yards of butterfly.
• Barracuda
  Swimmers must have strong swimming skills with the ability to swim 100 yards in all strokes.
• Diving
  Divers will learn the fundamentals of spring board diving. Such skills will include approach and hurdle, basic foot first and head first dives, strength and flexibility. Classes are offered during the summer months only.
• Adult Beginner
  The desire to learn to swim.
• Adult Intermediate
  Swimmers must be able to swim comfortably and independently for at least 25 yards (width of pool)
• Adult Advanced
  Swimmers should be able to swim at least 2 different strokes proficiently for 200 yards.
